September

So the highlight for September was when Andy and I took a quick trip to Alaska. It was an unplanned trip but we decided to go check it out for a possible job promotion for Andy. We decided not to go at this time but it was still alot of fun!!

Flying into Anchorage

Our drive up the Turnagain Arm, it was so pretty. They all tried to tell me the sun shines like this everday, but on Friday, people actually took the day for a "SUNday". Funny that in Alaska they never take a "Snowday" off but they will take a "SUNday" off.

Andy just had to have this Pic! To bad there is glare off Ms. Palin

First Day of School

August

August was such a fun month. We spent the first week on the mountain at the annual "Merrell Family Reunion". Ataya and TaiLee absolutely love being outside all day! It really was alot of fun!

Andy and I celebrated our 6 year anniversary on the 28th. We had such a great time. We spend a few days at the Stein Erickson Resort. It was a much needed, relaxing weekend. We were sad to leave but missed our babies soo soo much!

Andy enjoying our view!

Taya also played Itty Bitty Ball, I hate to brag but she did soo good!

We have had so much happen the past few months, I really need to get better at blogging because I feel like I miss so much! Ataya completed her first year at preschool. She has grown so much and learned so much too! She had a great experience and met many new friends!

We also finally wrapped up the 2010 Split Mountain volleyball season. I have had so much fun with my little team! They are the most determined girls I have ever met. We figured that our team average was probably about 5 feet shorter than all the teams we played against. It was crazy to see 15 year old girls that are 6'5". Despite being vertically challenged our team had an amazing come back and took 1st place in their division and 5th place overall in the Intermountain Region. They Rocked!
Now that we have settled down a little bit we decided to take a quick trip to Glenwood Springs. On Saturday evening we took a 15 mile bike ride with the girls in the buggie. The scenery was so beatiful that for a few seconds we would forget the ride was uphill half the way. We had a delicious dinner and ended the night at the hot springs! The next morning we took the Gondola ride to the top of the mountain and had lunch before heading home. What a Fun trip!
Here are a few pictures that we took!

My brother Paul came with us too but he rode to fast so he missed all the pictures!
